The Sketch throws down the gauntlet to one-dimensional video producers. Sure, we want high action footage of the best surfers in the world, but in the name of all things good, mix it up! Aussie filmmaker Peter Crumpton does just that, in a video that mixes the top-rated WCT surfers with Australia's hottest new talent. Sure, the box cover features A.I., Bruce, Slater, CD & Damien, Taj and Parko. But its Australias up-and-comers who will blow your mind. Based on what weve seen here, the good ol U.S. of A better have more up our sleeve than Dane Reynolds and Timmy Reyes to battle the surge of talent bubbling up from Down Under. Luke Stedman, Damon Harvey, Beau Mitchell, Kai Otton, David Reardon Smith, Dayyan Nevve and more shed light on Australia's emerging talent. Of course, all the headliners get their fair share, with Bruce, Dorian, Slater and the boys mixing it up in Oz, Tahiti, Hawaii and less-filmed sicko spots like Shipsterns Bluff. But the short story is that The Sketch gives you an idea of whats happening now and what to look forward to!
